Biography:
Lim Po teen is an Assoc. Prof. at the Aquatic Resource Science and Management Programme, Faculty of Resource Science and Tecnology, UNIMAS. He obtained both his Bachelors and Masters Degree (Marine Science) from National University of Malaysia, and his PhD from Kitasato University, Japan (Fisheries Sciences).
His research interest is in marine biotoxins; in particular, harmful algal blooms (HABs). He represented Malaysia in HABs subprogramme under the JSPS-ORI Coastal Marine Science Programme, and is a member of the International Society for the Study of Harmful Algae (ISSHA). He has participated in two (2) consultation projects involving development of coastal zone in the state of Sarawak and Sabah (East Malaysia), respectively.
