Debbie Templeton was employed by the Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economic in Canberra, Australia from 1978 to 1988. Before returning to post graduate studies, she worked on the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization in the Division of Animal Production's Fine Wool Project in Armidale, Australia. In 2000, she joined the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (Canberra, Australia) as the Senior Economist in the Impact Assessment Unit. In 2002, she was appointed Manager of ACIAR's Impact Assessment Unit.

In March 2005, Debbie joined IRRI's Social Sciences Division to guide IRRI's overall activities related to impact assessment and pathway analysis, and to contribute to IRRI's research and training on impact assessment techniques and applications.

AWARDS: D.H. Drummond Thesis Prize in Economic Studies, University of New England, Armidale, Australia (2002); Rostrum's Club 4 Speaker of the Year Award (2002).
