The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) organized the first ever Symposium on Citizenship Education on 8th of April. This event has brought together some 50 participants including scholars and educators at home and abroad.

On 22nd of January, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) signed an agreement with the Australian Mathematics Trust (AMT) to launch the "Mathematics Challenge for Young Australians" (MCYA) in Hong Kong.

The Troels H. Povlsen Care Apparel Centre (CAC) of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU)'s Institute of Textiles and Clothing has specially designed 100% cotton undergarments for the elderly and donated to three care homes of Helping Hand recently, at a total value of HK$120,000.
