The Conference, themed Overcoming An Old Scourge With A New Face (HIV/TB Co-Infection) aims at highlighting the challenge of HIV/TB co-infection, and at the same time emphasising on the other core challenges of the TB control.

The Conference, themed Overcoming An Old Scourge With A New Face (HIV/TB Co-Infection) aims at highlighting the challenge of HIV/TB co-infection, and at the same time emphasising on the other core challenges of the TB control programme such as early diagnosis, effective treatment access and equity and treatment compliance with Directly Observed Treatment - Short Course (DOTS).
It is also our aim to discuss the latest developments and challenges faced by the countries in the Asia Pacific Region in meeting these programme objectives. We have planned for you topics covering the management of HIV/TB that spans from new diagnostic methods in TB control to pulmonary hypertension as well as a review of what's the latest in the field of intestinal lung diseases.
