Kuala Lumpur witnessed the largest cyber security gathering yesterday at the APAC Cyber Security Summit 2016 which was hosted at the Double Tree Hotel by Hilton, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (2 &3 June, 2016)
Day 1 of the APAC Cyber Security Summit 2016 was inaugurated by Mr. Narendra Kumar, Managing Director- Nispana Innovative Platforms having the august presence of Mr. Christophe Durand, Cyber Strategy Head- INTERPOL, Mr. Benoit Godart, Head of Outreach & Support, European Cybercrime Centre (EC3) EUROPOL and Mr. Ryuichi HIRANO, Counsellor - National Center of Incident Readiness and Strategy for Cybersecurity, Government of Japan Cabinet Secretariat of Japan. Mr. Christophe Durand presented his paper on “Confronting Cyber Crime” focussing on the current challenges that prevail in the region pertaining to cyber security. Ms. Maria Milosavljevic, CIO - The Australian Transaction, Reports and Analysis Centre shared her views on “Automating decision making in government using analytics & other AI technology: assessing the risks & benefits”. Mr. Ryuichi HIRANO, Counsellor - National Center of Incident Readiness & Strategy for Cybersecurity, who discussed Japan’s cybersecurity challenge & government policy.

Gary ANG, Senior Consultant, Clean Technology Centre DNV GL – Energy, discussed a Holistic view on Cyber Security for Critical Infrastructure.
Mr. Alan Seow, Cyber Security Practitioner, Singapore spoke on a very sensitive issue which focused on “Introduction to Dark Web”. The opening day of the “APAC Cyber Security Summit 2016” hosted the most awaited panel discussion where the 175+ attendees debated on the topic “Introduction to Dark Web”. The show ended on a high note with attendees looking forward to the presentations that will take place tomorrow and which will include the paper presentation by Mr. Benoit Godart- EUROPOL.
